Information You Send Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results, not retained in our server logs as a search history. A message sent to us contains only what the sender chooses to provide and is used to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our hosting keeps ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We look at this in aggregate to keep the site healthy and to see which pages readers use. Cookies or similar technologies may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
That limited information helps operate the service, diagnose errors, measure readership, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A gives consumers a verified opt-out-of-sale request for covered personal information held by an online operator. Because this service keeps very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then deleting responsive information. Use the Contact page to make that request. Nevada, Washoe County, and Sparks public records are controlled by their custodians, so correction or removal questions for those records belong with the office that keeps them.
Updates to This Policy
Revisions will appear here. Continued use after a posted revision signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
